Outline: The best part of every ropework session.
1. After learning knots, get one instructor to sit down on a chair.
2. With the other instructor supervising, get the students to tie the victim up as if he/she were a hostage. ( NO ROPES AROUND THE NECK WHATSOVER!!! ALWAYS EXPLAIN WHY!!)
3. Have the victim then easily untangle themselves. (They never get it first time)
4. If you want to get some weird looks from parents, you could show them how to do it properly. You only need three ropes to tie anyone up. Hands behind the back tied at the wrists to the chair. Legs tied to the chair legs. And a rope around the waist and chest to the back of the chair. Keep knots out of reach of fingers and teeth. One little guy came up with pulling the persons sleaves down over their fingers and tying them off to keep rendering there fingers useless. (...Disturbingly clever) Kids normally think it's cool but you'd want to watch out you don't come across as a terrorist training camp!! |
