Outline: A great way to learn the rules. The students will know half as much as a parent of an optimist sailor. And that’s a lot of rules.
- Start a short course.
- Sailors gain 1 point for making someone do a 360, 2 for a 720 and three for any disqualifying offences.
- Sailors try and force other boats to make mistakes and gain points while going round the course.
- The sailors can also be accused of not sailing their proper course so the triangle course is maintained in some form.
- The first sailor to 5 points wins or the highest score in ten minutes wins.
- This winning sailor gets the “Future Angry Parent.” trophy. I made this in the shape of a megaphone, basically a cone of paper and some tape with the persons name on it. “RULE 69!”
